Construction for the project began in 1960 and was completed in 1968. It was officially inaugurated in 1971. in era of X president Gamal Abdel Nasser, proceed to see one of the longest obelisk in Egypt “unfinished obelisk” in Aswan
The Temples of Philae

The Unfinished Obelisk which shows the techniques used by the ancient Egyptians to cut obelisks. Most probably this obelisk belongs to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rulers of the 18th Dynasty and the royal wife of king Tuthmosis II.
